Lorry Loading and Unloading

Loading Lorries

This will take place on Friday 23rd July from 16:30 at the New HQ in St Nicholas Park. We need to get all camp equipment onto the Lorry ready for camp. It is expected that all Scouts and Parents are down to assist with this.

Vigilant (boys) will need to bring their kit (with the exception of their day bags) to be loaded onto the lorries on 23rd. (Unfortunately there is insufficient luggage capacity to get all personal kit onto the coach)

Unloading Lorries

We will endeavour to get the lorries back to Warwick before the Scouts return on the 7th August around 15:30 to unload at the new HQ, the remainder of the unpacking and sorting will take place on the 8th August from 10:00. It is expected that all Scouts and Parents are down to assist with this. Most personal kit will be transported back from camp in the lorries and will be available once all camp equipment is away.

Departures and Returns

All Scouts will travel to camp in full uniform on a coach which will leave St Nicholas Leisure centre car park at 7:45 am Sunday 21st July.

All Scouts should bring with them on the coach:

Medical update form and any medication to hand in if required
Pocket Money (see "Kit")
PL/APL’s Penknives to be handed in (see note in Kit)
You will travel in Full Uniform, please wear your 2WK T shirt / polo shirt underneath.
Your will need a day sack with
Plastic drinks bottle
Lunch
Waterproofs
A change of clothes for when you arrive at camp - suitable for pitching tents, including strong shoes.
Main Kit bag - all kit needs to be in the bag, not strapped to the outside

Scout Summer Camp will finish when the coach returns on Saturday 3rd August at 16:00 on St Nicholas Park Car Park. Updates on our arrival time will be posted onto the Summer Camp facebook page.

On returning from camp we need all parents to help unload the lorries, the Leaders have spent 2 weeks working hard and your help at this point is very much needed and appreciated.
