Publishing Bynder Assets on Seismic

To publish an asset on Seismic, simply add the "Sales Enablement" value to the Seismic field by checking the box. This field can be found in the "Custom Fields" section of Bynder.

To unpublish the asset, check the box for "Unpublished". To republish, uncheck the "Upublished" box.

Bynder pushes updates to Seismic each hour on the hour. New assets, new versions, or updates to the asset metadata will be discoverable on Seismic a little after the top of the hour (barring any errors).

You must also designate the permission of the asset within the "Distribution" field. Only choose one of the following:

• Customer Facing - no restrictions

• Distribution Partners Only - no restrictions, notates its primary use is for distributors

• Internal 10x Use Only - prevents the asset from being shared to customers

• Staged Distribution Partners and 10x - Assets waiting to be approved for distribution to third parties

• Released Distribution Partners and 10x - Distributors will have access to view and download assets tagged with this value

  • At this time, only NCFs and Global Support Calls are eligible for Released Distribution Partners and 10x

**Seismic is a digital platform so the use case for publishing print files is limited. Ideally, sales is emailing users the asset so it is tracked within the platform. Print assets should only be published for specific use cases - we do not want to over-inundate users with multiple of the same asset.**

Seismic metadata is aligned with Bynder. The more metadata populated, the easier it will be to find within Seismic. Try to add as much metadata as possible as well as a robust description.

Metadata automatically places the asset within collections on the Seismic curated pages. 

e.g any assets tagged with Platform: Xenium and Asset Subtype: Pitch deck automatically appear in the collection (see screenshot on the right).

Consider your use of Asset Subtype carefully and try to add your asset to the best applicable subtype. Adding multiple Asset Subtypes runs the risk of placing the asset in multiple collections on the same page.
