Typography

The 10x Genomics typography system is based in carefully-crafted, sensible letterforms. The typography was chosen to achieve excellent legibility and utility, as well as to allow for personality to shine through.

The system features a sans serif and serif pairing that createsa harmonious foundation for crafting unified messaging.

Primary typeface

Calibre is a neo grotesque sans serif typeface designed by Kris Sowersby. Calibre has both modern and clear letterforms and a wide range of weights, making it a very flexible choice for using in print, web, and UI design.

Secondary typeface

Tiempos Text is a contemporary serif typeface designed by Kris Sowersby. Tiempos was designed specifically for editorial usage, making it ideal for achieving great legibility in longform body copy. It also allows for personality to shine through when used at large scale.
