Logos
The face of our brand is the 10x Genomics logo. The logo helps us to build brand recognition and loyalty. It also conveys innovation through the dynamic “x” that suggests forward momentum and focus.
In 2019, the logo was refined to add better spacing between the number and letterforms and to add weight to the logotype for more boldness. Please double check that the updated logo is being used in all collateral.
The vertical logo is the preferred logo orientation and should be used when possible. Example cases for the vertical logo include printed collateral, environmental design, swag, signage, advertisements, instruments and packaging.
The horizontal logo orientation is reserved for layouts that are more horizontal in nature and won’t accommodate the vertical logo successfully. Example cases for the horizontal logo include the website, landing pages, email, and presentations.
Please do not use two different logo orientations within the same environment.
To ensure legibility, please use the minimum size specifications for each orientation.
For the vertical logo, the print size minimum is 0.625” wide and the digital size minimum is 45 pixels wide.
For the horizontal logo, the print size minimum is 1.25” wide and the digital size minimum is 90 pixels wide.
To ensure high visibility and an uncluttered presentation, always maintain a minimum clear space around the 10x Genomics logo. Determine clear space by measuring the height of the “x” symbol (see diagram to the right) and keep an area equal to this height clear on all sides of the logo. Note that the clear space will change depending on the size of the logo
The full color logo is the primary version of the logo and is preferred, however the background on which the logo is placed must be considered. The reverse logo can be used on dark backgrounds or photographs.
The all black or all white logos should only be used in rare instances where only one color selection is available (i.e. like in certain swag).
In single color applications either the Indigo color (Pantone 2767) or a solid black color should be used for positive application.
Reach out to brandsupport@10xgenomics.com for all black or all white logos.
The logo should never be altered or shown in colors other than authorized colors. Consistent presentation is an important part of making the logo immediately recognizable wherever it appears. These examples demonstrate improper logo usage and the pitfalls to avoid. These rules apply to all versions of the logo.
