In September 2016 officers of the Brough Family Organization and Braithwaite Family Organization formally established LDS Ancestral Families Association (LDSAFA). Since its establishment, LDSAFA and the Brough Family Organization have been represented at a number of family history conferences in Utah (shown below).

2024 RootsTech Conference

Members of the Brough Family Organization participated in the 2024 RootsTech conference that was held at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, on February 29 - March 2, 2024.

2023 RootsTech Conference

2019 FamilyRoots Conference

R. Shane Brough, President of the Brough Family Organization, participated in the 2019 FamilyRoots Conference that was held in the Dixie Convention Center in St. George, Utah, on September 27-28, 2019.

At this conference, R. Shane Brough, who is also President of LDSAFA, and Richard E. Braegger, President of the Braithwaite Family Organization and Vice-President of LDSAFA, presented a class on Strengthening LDS Family Organizations Through DNA. They also passed out literature about LDSAFA and its member organizations to people who attended the class.

2019 RootsTech Conference

Members of the Brough Family Organization attended and participated in RootsTech 2019, which was held in the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, from February 27 through March 2, 2019.

At this conference two officers of the Brough Family Organization (R. Shane Brough and R. Clayton Brough) presented a class/session on Strengthening LDS Family Organizations Through DNA which was held in Room 155 F at 1:30 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2019 (described below). Forty-five people attended this class.

2018 FamilyRoots Conference

On September 28-29, 2018, members and associates of the Brough Family Organization (BFO) participated in the FamilyRoots 2018 conference at the Dixie Convention Center in St. George, Utah. Shane Brough, BFO and LDSAFA President, and Richard Braegger, LDSAFA Vice-President, gave a presentation on Family Organizations in the Digital Age on Friday, September 28, 2018, at 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM at the FamilyRoots conference in the Dixie Convention Center.
