2015 BFO International Brough Reunion

The BFO held an International Brough Reunion in Utah on August 6-9, 2015. The following events took place during this reunion:

Friday, August 7, 2015

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM:

Between 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM, BFO officials conducted a special guided tour of historic Temple Square, the large LDS Conference Center and the famous Family History Library of Salt Lake City. For more information on these locations, visit the following websites:

Between 3:00 and 4:00 PM, BFO officials and interested family members visited the Salt Lake City Cemetery and dedicated a gravesite memorial to John Brough (1831-1915), a Mormon pioneer from Durham, England, and a tailor in Salt Lake City.

Note: Historical Brough-related family sites are located in Kaysville, Porterville and Randolph, Utah, and in Salt Lake City and Nephi, Utah.

The International Brough Family Reunion of August 7-9, 2015 was announced in the Deseret News newspapers of July 23 & 30 and August 6, 2015, and placed online on July 28, 2015.

Saturday, August 8, 2015

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM:

The BFO held its 2015 International Brough Reunion at the LDS Creekside Stake Center building located at: 1480 West Phillips Street (at the corner of Flint Street and Phillips Street), Kaysville, Utah.

Schedule of Events:

12:30 - 1:00 PM: Free registration in the Recreation Hall.

1:00 - 2:00 PM: International Brough Family History Meeting. This meeting featured a multi-media presentation of new Brough-related historical discoveries from around the world, and a special memorial tribute to David Atkins Brough and other Brough military serviceman.

2:00 - 4:00: Visiting time in the Recreational Hall where Brough-related materials from around the world were displayed. Also, a large new book, entitled Brough Families Worldwide was made available for review or purchase. This new book is 613 pages in length and is freely available for viewing as a PDF file.

8:00 - 10:00 AM:

Some BFO members attended a free live televised broadcast of "Music & the Spoken Word," featuring the famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir at the LDS Conference Center in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.
