On January 18, 2018, Governor John Hickenlooper signed Senate Bill 18-027 Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact. The law placed Colorado into the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). As a member of the eNLC, the State Board of Nursing now requires all applicants to obtain a fingerprint background check in order to obtain a nursing license in Colorado.

The Texas Board of Nursing (BON) requires all nursing students to complete a mandatory DPS/FBI criminal background check (CBC) prior to beginning any nursing program. Please read the following information carefully. We will send your name to the Texas BON as an accepted or waitlisted student to our program. After your information is entered into the BON system, we will send a SERVICE CODE to your email address. After you receive this SERVICE CODE, you must arrange a finger print scanning appointment with MorphoTrust/IdentoGO. There will be a fee for both the fingerprint scanning services and the cost of the DPS/FBI background check.
