Talk To Me!

In this tutorial, you will learn to make a simple talking app. The user enters a phrase on the screen, and the phone speaks the phrase out loud.

Step 1. Creating a new project

If you have never used App Inventor before, I suggest you to go ahead and read this Hello World tutorial first, because you haven't learn the basics yet. However, if you did, please log in to MIT App Inventor and create a project called 'Talk To Me'.

Step 2. Adding Components

Step 3. App Inventor Blocks.

It means, when the Button is clicked, the TextToSpeech will speak out the Text the user inputted.

3. Add the following blocks to the Blocks editor. You can directly drag the following image into the Blocks editor tab.

It means, when the phone is shaking, the phone will tell the user to stop shaking the phone!

Step 4. Finish!
