I'm That Kind Of A Guy
This is from October, 1999. It's a true story. The barber is Janie and the cruisin' line was inspired by my departed friend Jon.
Lyrics
I was standin’ on the street the other day,
A fellow walked up, said he was gay,
And he asked me if I wanted to have a good time.
I thanked him for the compliment,
Shook his hand and on his way he went.
I figured I might as well lay it right on the line.
I like women, I’m that kind of a guy.
I like women, I’m here to testify.
I like ‘em short, tall, skinny and stout.
Women’s what the good life is all about.
I like women, ‘cause I’m that kind of a guy.
My barber is a lesbian
But that’s alright, you see,
‘Cause she likes women, just the same as me.
You might think we’d make a strange mix
But together we can go cruisin’ for chicks.
If they don’t like her, they can come on over with me.
‘Cause I like women, I’m that kind of a guy.
I like women, I’m here to testify.
I like ‘em short, tall, skinny and stout.
Women’s what the good life is all about.
I like women, ‘cause I’m that kind of a guy.
I’ve got to admit I can’t figure it out.
A lot of the time I find I’m in doubt
About what peaple’s orientation is likely to be.
But you do it your way, and I’ll do it mine,
And I have a hunch we’ll get along fine.
‘Cause what you prefer just don’t matter to me.
But I like women, I’m that kind of a guy.
I like women, I’m here to testify.
I like ‘em short, tall, skinny and stout.
Women’s what the good life is all about.
I like women, ‘cause I’m that kind of a guy.
I like ‘em short, tall, skinny and stout.
Women give me joy, let there be no doubt.
I like women, ‘cause I’m that kind of a guy.
