THE HON. GEORGE FIFE ANGAS was born 01 May 1789 in Newcastle upon Tyne, and died 15 May 1879 in Lindsay House, Angaston, South Austrailia. Burial: 1879, Lindsay Villa Estate, South Australia

He married ROSETTA FRENCH 18 Apr 1812 in Hutton, Essex, England. She was born 15 Jan 1793 in St Giles, Cripplegate, London, England, and died 11 Jan 1867 in Linsay Park, Angaston, South Austrailia.

THE HON. GEORGE FIFE ANGAS:

One of the founders of Sunday Schools. By 1816 the Sunday Schools of Tyneside a Union with George as secretary. He afterwards went to South Australia in 1850 and became the Hon G F Angas of the Upper House and a member of the legislative Council. He organised the South Australia Company, The Bank of South Australia and other companies. His foresight was largely instrumental in winning New Zealand for Great Britian.

Had four daughters and three sons one of whom was John Howard Angas
