CALEB ANGAS:

A celebrated Yorkshire agriculturalist.. His letters to the Sun, chief newspaper of the trade movement created much attention at the time and were of great service to the cause. Mr Cobden frequently referred for his crusade against protection. He was a clever writer and good mathematician and possessed considerable mechanical information. (Dictionary of National Biography Vol 1 ), Moved to Neswick, near Driffield, because he had seen how well wheat grew there; he and his wife and 2 children in 1814. He had probably come from the Dye house, Hexhamshire.

Residence: 1841, Bainton, Yorkshire, England

SARAH SAMPLE: She is believed to have ridden across the Tyne to her wedding in green with a fine beaver hat.
