Be Yourself

Be Yourself

A frog of little size to show,

Wondered whether she would grow.

Sitting on a lily pad,

She saw a cow, such size it had.

The frog was full of jealous shame.

She wanted size to bring her fame.

She asked her kids who was the bigger.

They said the cow had the bigger figure.

She flexed her muscles to stretch her skin.

Surely this would help her win.

The children laughed and told her how,

She had no chance to beat the cow.

She told the kids she didn’t care,

And filled her little lungs with air.

She didn’t cover more ground at first,

Until the pressure made her burst.

So if you sleep inside a ditch,

Never imitate the rich.

Live the life of simple folk,

Or like the frog, you’ll end up broke.
