Holly Walk

Every year on Boxing Day the Fen Edge Footpath Group organises a "Holly Walk" on Boxing Day starting at 10:30 at teh end of Broad Lane Cottenham - the walk usually attracts about 40 to50 walkers from the local area.

Unfortunately in 2020 this has not been possible due to exceptional circumstances, so we are sharing the walk route here so local walkers are still able to enjoy a boxing day walk.

Start from Broad Lane / High Street junction walk down Broad Lane then along the Cut to Giant’s Hill woods (aka Rampton Spinney), over the wooden bridge turn right and walk through the wood and head towards the Church, through the kissing gate and across the grass field to the magic fence or gate into the next field keep walking towards Cottenham, after a short distance there is a kissing gate on your left, go through into quite a muddy field and follow the edge back to the woods and then the little bridge back onto the cut. Retrace your steps back to broad lane or turn right onto Rampton road.

You will need Wellington Boots or Waterproof Walking Boots and a stick, it is very muddy.
