2013 Walks
This is the set of 2013 Walks - our members should all have an email or paper copy with contact numbers for the walks, for privacy reasons these are not published on the website, and anyone wanting to come along on a walk is asked to send an email to fenedge.footpathgroup@gmail.com which will be communicated to the walk organiser.
For planning reasons most organisers prefer more than one weeks notice if you'd like to join the walk.

A morning walk 5/6 miles based on Landbeach. Meet at 9.30am in Landbeach Village Hall car park. Contact Jasper/Janet

A 6(ish) mile walk to Little Thetford along Grunty Fen drain, returning to Whitchford across the old WWII airfield. Meet 10.30 at 60 Main Street Witchford. Bring a snack & coffee. Contact Jan.

An 8(ish) mile walk starting from Viking Way, Bar Hill. Pass Tesco Fuel Centre on left follow road to first turning left into Viking Way for parking at 10.00am. Bring packed lunch. Confirm with Ian/Ann.

This is a quiet and peaceful walk on the west side of Cambridge!!
Well, not exactly, the M11, an MOD Rifle Range and various animals make their presence felt on this lovely walk of less than 9 miles.
This is a circular walk taking in parts of Coton Countryside Reserve, Barton, Lark Rise Farm, (CRT) and Grantchester
Meet at CVC at 0930 or at Coton Countryside Reserve Car Park at 10 am (No toilet facilities and No parking charges at time of writing)
Please bring a packed lunch.

A 9 to 10 mile walk frm Stetchford via Saxon St and Kirtling Green incorporating some of the Stour Valley path and Icknield Way as well as passing through some studs.
Either meet at 9:40 at CVC or park at Church Lane (grid ref TL 642589) to meet at 10, a pub may be available for lunch (to be confirmed) bring sandwiches otherwise.

Sunday 8th September 2013
A 6 mile walk in the morning exploring the nature reserves surrounding CAMBOURNE, followed by a leisurely lunch and a further 2 mile walk or more (if preffered) exploring the more interesting urban areas.
Meet at CVC at 9.30am for car sharing or 10am at Cambourne Library, parking in Morrisons Car park .
For lunch either bring the usual pack-up or the chippy and Morrisons supermarket are open. For those preferring a more liquid lunch the Monkfield Arms PH is at hand. Toilet facilities available at Morrisons at start and lunchtime.

An 8 mile 3-3.5hr walk around Great Chishill and Heydon,SE of Royston.
Meet at 10:00 at Great Chishill Recreation Ground car park situated on the LHS of the B1039 out of the village from the crossroads by the church.
There are opportunities for short cuts.
Lovely countryside, village houses and church.
