A 6.5 mile walk, with an extra 3 mile loop for those keen to walk further. The route has inclines but most are gentle. The main walk passes through the picturesque villages of Dalham, Moulton and Gazeley. The extra loop has some very interesting features including Desning Hall and Denham Castle. For the thirsty, the local pub will be open at the end of the walk.

Please bring a packed lunch. Note that there are unlikely to be any toilet facilities available. Also we will all meet at Cottenham Village College. at 9.30 am to car share because the journey is 30 miles and there is very limited parking at the start. To organise the car sharing it would be helpful if people could have an idea before meeting up in Cottenham which length of walk they would like to do.

Planes, Trains & Nature Reserves.

A 9.5 mile circular walk over predominantly easy terrain, exploring some of the local nature reserves (LNRs) and green spaces on the eastern outskirts of Cambridge. LNRs include Barnwell Road & Cherry Hinton Chalk Pits (Limekiln Rd & East Pit). Details of the LNRs can be found at the following link:-

Please bring a packed lunch. Toilet facilities available on route. Meet at Cottenham Village College. at 9.30 am to car share or 10am at start point (details given when phoning/emailing organisers).

A circular walk of about 7 miles, taking around 3 hours at a steady pace. It begins in Knapwell at 10am and continues to Boxworth,Lolworth and Childerley.

Parking is at the walks' start at the church (please car share if possible). Meet at C.V.C. at 9.30 am for car sharing - note organisers will not be there to supervise car sharing.

Directions: Leave the A14 at the Boxworth/ Swavesey junction 28 . Drive through Boxworth,turn left at the cross roads. Once In Knapwell turn left into the lane leading to the church near a wooden bus shelter under a chestnut tree and near a thatched cottage.

Please bring sandwiches if you want to eat on the way round. For those who don't mind a late lunch after the walk the Golden Ball pub in Boxworth has good food (and bar of course!). Contact Hazel or Jane
