New Scout FAQ

The purpose of this page is to answer the questions most commonly asked by the parents of new scouts. If you have a question not answered here, the first place to turn is your den leader. If your den leader is unavailable, the next best source of answers is the Cubmaster or any of the other pack leaders (leader names may be found at our Leadership page). Failing anything else, you can always send e-mail to pack95admin@gmail.com.


Pack Communication

How will I know what is going on in the pack?

Good communication is critical and we ensure it through a variety of mechanisms. Go to Getting Started to find out how you can remain informed.

Is there a mailing list?

Yes, there is a mailing list for the entire pack and also one for each individual den. Getting on the mailing lists requires joining the pack and den "Google Group". Go to About Google Groups to learn about these groups and how to join them.

Where can I find a calendar of events?

Your best bet is to bookmark the Pack 95 Home page, which has the pack calendar and some useful links. For den events you need to check the den calendar found on each den page, listed here.


Will I get reminders for meetings and outings?

All scout events are on the pack and den calendars. Go to Calendar Reminders to learn how to get notifications and reminders for these.

Uniforms

What do I need to buy for a uniform?

You can get the details of what is needed here.

Where can I buy uniforms?

There is a list of places to buy uniforms, both physical stores and web sites, on our Scouting Links page.

Other

When and where does the pack meet?

The pack generally meets at the Westford Sportsmen's Club (map).at 4:00 pm one Sunday each month. You should always check the pack calendar for any particular month, however.
