Bridge over the Mississippi

Construction of the bridge by the Fauquier Brothers was commenced on September 9, 1892 [Renfrew Mercury]. Stone for the bridge was to be limestone quarried at Pakenham and floated to site on a scow.[Renfrew Mercury, August 26, 1892]

Gravel Pit

The gravel pit was the source of ballast along the OA&PS. [Renfrew Mercury, 1893-11-10]
