Lee 17

Lee 17 in our orchard Aug 18, 2019

A large apple bred by Mr. Lloyd Lee in Alberta. Ripens early September and is about 3" in diameter. Russeting is common in these apples. A good eating apple, crisp and tart, and also good for baking. Rated fairly well in the University of Alaska trials.

In 2021 I brought Lee 17 in from the root cellar on March 20th. They weren't tasty or crisp, but they were still edible.
