Web Accessibility
Blackboard Ally is an integration in Canvas LMS that helps to improve accessibility. Ally allows users to download content in alternative formats, such as ePub, electronic braille, and audio.
Immersive Reader is used to read text out loud, change font sizes, line spacing, and background colours, split the words into syllables, highlight sets of lines for greater focus. It is available in all Microsoft 365 applications and is integrated with Canvas.
Course Engagement & Cloud Services
Canvas is the College Virtual Learning Environment where students participate in course assignment activities such as Quizzes, graded Discussions, and online submissions. Visit https://cogc.instructure.com/ or use the Canvas Student app.
Microsoft Teams is the College's primary platform for live video and virtual meetings.
Microsoft 365 includes apps Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Forms, Sway and Teams.
Video Libraries & Learning Resources
ClickView includes an extensive library of interactive educational videos specially designed for Further Education.
Box of Broadcasts is an on-demand TV and radio service for Education. Students can record programmes from over 65 free-to-air channels, including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Film 4, and Sky News, as well as access an extensive archive of playlists.
Panopto is the College's video recording and sharing platform, allowing you to organise and share tools designed for use in the classroom and for remote learning through Canvas.

ThingLink is an education technology platform used to augment images and videos, create virtual tours with immersive visual experiences.
Microsoft Sway is an online presentation tool that helps you to arrange content in an interesting and dynamic way.
Wakelet is a collaborative online scrapbook for on-the-fly brainstorming, collections, and curation.
Academic Tools & Systems
Solar is SQA's free online e-assessment system which is used to deliver tests on a range of devices.
Turnitin is a similarity detection engine integrated with Canvas, used to identify issues with citations and plagiarism.
Onefile is a commercial e-portfolio system designed specifically to support the delivery of SVQ awards within a Modern Apprenticeship.
