Canvas is the new Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) at City of Glasgow College. It is used to host learning content, manage assignments, facilitate student interaction, and enable access to many third-party applications.  Canvas can be accessed at https://cogc.instructure.com/ or via Canvas Apps.

Staff have access to the Growing with Canvas training course, and a personal sandbox course, used to complete training tasks and to practice. Students are enrolled in Introduction to Canvas, a learner-centred training course, upon induction.

Staff can also view the public course index to see examples of live Canvas courses.

Canvas Apps

The Canvas Student app allows learners to access all of their course materials, submit assignments, take quizzes, and more, all from a mobile device. Download Canvas Student from Google Play or the App Store.

The Canvas Teacher app allows teaching staff to update materials, mark assignments and quizzes, and more, all from a mobile device. Download Canvas Teacher from Google Play or the App Store.
