Deeper Learning Cohorts

The JCPS Deeper Learning cohorts are an opportunity for educators to receive ongoing support, collaborate with other participants who are designing and implementing learner-centered approaches, and transform their teaching practice. We want educators to experience the types of learner-centered practices that we are implementing in classrooms. Thus, our cohorts are structured to include aspects such as educator exhibitions of learning, teacher agency in design, and PERSONalized support. We provide educators with the resources, opportunities, and support that will work best in their contexts. Learn more about our cohorts below!

Project-Based Learning Universe-ity Cohort (PBLu)

Experiental Learning: Learn about Project-Based Learning by engaging in a Project-Based Learning experience.
Collaboration:Collaborate with other JCPS educators who are transforming their classroom practice.
Ongoing Coaching:Engage in small group and individual coaching.
Competency-Based: Share your learning in meaningful ways, receive PERSONalized support, and advance based on demonstrated competency, not seat time.

Educators in this competency-based cohort address the driving question: 

"How might we as classroom facilitators leverage Project-Based Learning to effectively meet the needs of all of our learners so that our learners grow as innovators, creative thinkers, and problem solvers"?
