Thanks to Mr. Baxter who was able to get our Senior Portrait made in spite of having to move into the gym due to the rain.

LEAP Testing
We had a great week of LEAP testing. Thanks to our staff who were prepared, engaged, and encouraging. Thanks to our students who showed up, knew what to do, and stayed on task. Thanks to our support team who kept the school moving!
Teacher Appreciation Week
It's Teacher Appreciation Week. There is still need for donations, gift cards, prizes, food, etc. to make our teacher's week special. Please let us know if you can help with food. Monetary donations and gift cards can be dropped off in the main A Building office.
Let's make sure our teachers experience our appreciation for their work through this school year!
Important Information
End of Year Closeout (Please Read)
We have two and a half weeks left of school. Please review the information below regarding the closeout of school.
There is still A LOT of testing that needs to take place. Make-up opportunities are limited and in some cases do not exist. Please make sure your student is at school each day. (REVISED TESTING CALENDAR IS INCLUDED IN THIS UPDATE.)
We will be Advanced Placement testing over the next two weeks. All AP testing students received an email on Wednesday, May 1 with their AP Testing schedule (dates and times). All testing dates and times are dictated by the College Board and we cannot test outside of this schedule. Afternoon AP tests require students to provide their own ride home because the test ends after school dismissal.
Each day over the next 2 weeks, students must check the TV's and the Morning Announcements for classroom relocations due to AP testing.
Attendance still matters and so does arriving to school on time, transitioning between classes on time, and being picked up in carpool on time. Though the summer heat is here, dress code is still being enforced through the last day of school.
Final Exam Exemption eligibility is based on PreACT and ACT test scores. Notifications will be sent out to 9th - 11th grade students on Monday, May 13. Only those students who received exemptions eligibility notifications will be exempt from exams. All students not exempt must take exams at the scheduled exam period.
Chromebook Checks
May 13 - May 16, students MUST bring their Chromebooks to the library through English classes on the schedule below. Chromebooks will be inspected for damage and fine assessments. Students must also bring their Charger (with their name label) to be checked.
Charges:
Damage - costs vary (see page 26 of the student handbook)
Chromebook not available for inspection at scheduled time: $300 charge for replacement Chromebook
Assigned charger with student label not present for inspection at scheduled time: $30 replacement fee.
This year, students will KEEP their Chromebooks over the summer. Chromebooks and chargers must remain in the student's possession throughout the summer and ready for school on the first day of class next year.
Please reinforce to your students that monitoring software will continue to alert the school and district to any unauthorized/inappropriate use of the devices, even during the summer.
After School Activity Schedule
There are very few reasons for students to be on campus after dismissal this week.
Any student staying after school without being a part of an approved activity and directly supervised by a staff member will be disciplined.
Carpool riders must be picked up no later than 3:00. Too many students are being left past the supervision time of school staff. Students who cannot be picked up on time should be riding the bus home.

All seniors not approved for exemptions must attend school and take final exams in all of their classes. Attendance in morning classes Monday and Tuesday is required. Students may not check in for exams.
Students who were approved for exam exemptions must take the final exam in any class they have a D or an F. If they do not show for this exam, they will receive a zero.
Student who have been offered exam exemptions may take individual exams for classes in which they hope to improve their grades.
Any conflicts with AP testing should have been resolved with the teacher and principal prior to the start of exams on Monday.
All final exams must be taken at the scheduled time. Exams will not be rescheduled or exempted except for AP Testing conflicts.
All grades are final and will be applied to the final high school transcript on Friday, May 10
