Check out Madame Davis-Hellmers
Mme Davis attended the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages Convention. She led a roundtable discussion sharing speaking and community-building activities she uses in her French classroom.
Opportunity and Equity are not just core values for our students and families, but also with our staff as they grow and share their knowledge with others in the profession!
Student Council welcomes Judge Donald Johnson
On Wednesday, East Baton Rouge Chief Judge Donald Johnson volunteered to speak to the Liberty Magnet Student Council. He stressed the importance of never giving up on yourself to the students and instilled in all of them a new passion for the judicial system. We are all very grateful to Judge Johnson for giving up his valuable time to speak with our students.

Important Information
Semester Ends NEXT WEEK!
When we return, there will only be 6 days of instruction before Midterm Exams Begin.
All grades will be final and applied to the transcript as of 10:00am on Friday, December 15.
Please make sure your student is at school for the full school day and that grades are being checked daily.
All midterm days are full school days.
All students take midterms. Midterms are approximately 15% of the semester grade.
Chromebook Charging
Parents, please help us out! Students are responsible for ensuring that their Chromebooks are charged over night every day. A Chromebook battery, when the Chromebook is used appropriately, will last the entire school day. The number of students not charging Chromebooks overnight is becoming a serious issue for our library and staff members. Students who do not charge their Chromebooks risk not having access to the necessary instructional platforms and testing platforms necessary for that day.

Senior Parents and students,
FAFSA has not announced a release date for the 2024-2025 FAFSA however, now is a great time to familiarize yourself with the process so that you are prepared to complete the FAFSA as soon as it is released.
All Parents and students should have an FSA ID. Remember, parents who already have an FSA ID for themselves or for an older child will use the same FSA ID.
Included (flyer) are links for videos that you can watch to prepare yourself for the process when the FAFSA opens in December.
Seniors should check the Senior Google Classroom often for scholarship opportunities.
Parents and students can also sign up for the LOSFA Student Hub to "follow your TOPS". This platform can be used throughout your college matriculation to follow your TOPS eligibility and recertification.
We have also included a document for you to record your logins and passwords and keep in a safe location. Remember, you will be using this information for the 2-4+ years that the student is in college.
