There is a new Animal Quick Reference!
The ostrich fact sheet has been updated to correct some outdated information: "The majority of eggs laid by our ostrich are have been emptied and sold with monies raised going to support the critically endangered North African ostrich." When the gift shop was managed by internal Zoo Atlanta team members, empty ostrich eggs were sold to raise funds for conservation. This ended when we engaged Event Network to manage retail sales.

There is an another updated Animal Quick Reference which includes the lappet-faced vulture chick, additional tawny frogmouths and other updates!
There is an updated Animal Quick Reference which includes Fig (wrinkled hornbill chick) and the new white storks! The next update will include other bird chicks.
There are now fact sheets for keel-billed toucan and red-and-yellow barbet! The barbets are in The Living Treehouse and the keel-billed toucans are next door to Zazu and Gumby.
The blue crane fact sheet has also been updated.

New resource alert! Check out the new identification guides for giant pandas and red pandas!
The gorilla relationship resources (family trees and sunburst graphs) have moved to the Animal Quick Reference page. There is also a new resource there - a Willie B. Family tree! This only includes his direct descendants (plus unrelated parents of his descendants).
There are now recordings of orangutan vocalizations on their species page. Check them out when you have a chance and let me (Sarah) know what you think! Also, feel free to explore other species recordings in the Macaulay Library and submit requests for additional recordings to be added to species pages.

The "Shop for Sustainable Seafood" conservation messaging has been updated. The Monterey Bay Aquarium has discontinued the Seafood Watch app. You can no longer find it in app stores and it is no longer supported. They recommend deleting the app from your phone and adding seafoodwatch.org to your home screen. Learn more here.

A Glossary page has been added under Interpretive Resources to provide definitions of commonly used biology and ecology terms. You will also find links to the glossary throughout the site where these words appear. If there are additional terms you think would be helpful to include, please submit requests via the Feedback page.
The Komodo dragon page has been updated following the announcement from the IUCN that the species has been "uplisted" from Vulnerable to Endangered. Read more here.
