Among the broken bits and scattered things,
A silver key that never fails to bring
A sense of mystery, what might it start?
Lost in the rubble, like forgotten art.
Beneath the clutter of forsaken stuff,
A bottle cap, once shiny, now quite rough
Reflects a glimpse of what it used to be,
Next to a mirror that no one can see.
And there it lies, a fork with prongs askew,
Twisted plastic telling stories new,
Among the chaos of forgotten parts,
These treasures wait where no one ever starts.
Nestled among the scattered shells,
A peculiar treasure trove dwells.
A dark green soldier, standing proud,
Half-buried where the seaweed bowed.
Behind a conch of pearly white,
A lizard's tail slips out of sight.
While barnacles and coral pieces
Hide a jaw bone's ancient creases.
A tiny straw hat, weathered and worn,
Rests in sand where shells adorn,
Mixed with fragments from the sea,
A strange collection, wild and free.
Purpose:
To photograph in the style of Walter Wick, inspired by his work in the “I Spy” children’s book series.
To photograph an arrangement of objects that express a similar theme.
To arrange objects into a complex composition that leads the eye and demonstrates an understanding of balance, lighting, and color.
To create a rhyme that connects to the hidden objects.
