While cleaning my vinyl I got the idea to use the hole in my record to frame my cat who was sitting next to me. When I tried this, it was blurry and the hole was too small to create a full picture of her. Instead, I took this photo using a paper record sleeve and framing my cat in the center of it.
I had just brought in new wood from outside and I was feeding our fire when I noticed the frame. I used the fireplace to frame the fire and the charred wood. I thought the contrast of the flames compared to the fireplace was interesting and I liked the warm lighting coming from the fire.
I took this photo in the morning before I let my dog out to feed her. She was sitting patiently at the door of her crate expecting me to come let her out. I used the metal bars of the crate to frame her. I like the lighting in this photo and how I managed to catch the sliver of blue in her right eye that usually gets lost in pictures.
