I reached most of my goals this semester. Throughout the class I developed skills in photography and learned how to use a camera. I learned several techniques and general photography related skills that I will carry into my future photos such as leading lines, framing, perspectives, and color. Photography has been one of my biggest motivation this year and it has not only given me an outlet to express myself but it has also helped learn more about what inspires me. I try to take my camera wherever I go because I've found that even the smaller things can inspire me. I am excited to carry my photography skills into the future with me and use them for more art.
Looking ahead, I would like to further develop my photography skills by expirimenting even more with different techniques. I want to explore shutter speed, aperture, different lenses, and other aspects like ISO that could enhance my photography even more. I hope to find new ways to incorporate my photos with my other art such as painting and drawing.
The reason I want to invest time in photography is because I am inspired by the things I see. My goal is to capture my perspective through a lens and share that perspective with others. I think photography is an interesting way to share opinions, ideas, and concepts and I hope that by taking photos I can inspire and motivate myself and others. I also hope I can use the photos I take to help improve and broaden my creative eye and influence my other art. With this class I want to learn about common techniques and tricks in photography as well as the general mechanics and types of cameras.
