Purpose:
To learn how to put words with images to help to make a strong statement;
To think differently and creatively about your photographs;
To become familiar with basic Photoshop tools.
I love this quote from the show Ted Lasso. It serves as a reminder that we don't know the experiences of others, and it is far better to go through life looking to learn from others rather than judge them.
This quote from Oprah is so inspiring to me. I love her emphasis on gratitude and appreciation, both of which can truly change your life.
For this assignment, I was tasked with creating a photo and adding a related quote. I learned a lot about Photoshop including text manipulation, contrast, and layering! I first edited my background photos to enhance their colors and contrast. Then, I went to dafont.com and found a font that I wanted my quote to be in. After that, I put each word onto a separate layer and placed them all on top of each other so that I could manipulate each word just how I wanted it. Then, I imported my previously downloaded font and typed out my quote! The most important thing I learned from this assignment is how to import fonts and place them on top of an image. Here are my 2 completed photos with quotes:
