Resum

In a world where biodiversity is increasingly important, we are seeing the return of the wolf to Catalonia, favored by the abandonment of fields and the creation of natural parks, which have increased wildlife. The aim of the work is to analyse the impact of its arrival by studying its prey in areas where we do not expect to find it and in areas where it has already been detected. The fieldwork was carried out in Alt Empordà, Baix Empordà and Ripollès, through the search for tracks, the observation of animals and the use of a camera trap.

Coexistence with the wolf implies changes in livestock management and generates diverse opinions within the livestock sector. For this reason, it is essential to understand and it is necessary to seek suitable solutions for each livestock farm, such as the use of Catalan donkeys as herd protection animals, as they are strong and sustainable. Knowing the advantages and disadvantages of the return of the wolf is key to facing it in a critical, objective and neutral way.

En un món on la biodiversitat és cada cop més important, ens trobem amb el retorn del llop a Catalunya, afavorit per l’abandonament dels camps i la creació de parcs naturals, que han incrementat la fauna salvatge. L'objectiu del treball és analitzar l'impacte de la seva arribada mitjançant l’estudi de les seves preses a zones on, d'entrada, no pensem trobar-lo i a zones on

ja s'ha detectat. El treball de camp s’ha realitzat a l’Alt Empordà, Baix Empordà i Ripollès, a través de la cerca de rastres, l’observació d’animals i l’ús d’una càmera de fototrampeig. La coexistència amb el llop implica canvis en la gestió del bestiar i genera opinions diverses dins del sector ramader. Per això, és fonamental entendre i és necessari buscar solucions adients per a cada explotació ramadera, com per exemple l’ús de rucs catalans com a animals de protecció de ramats, ja que són forts i sostenibles. Conèixer els avantatges i inconvenients del retorn del llop és clau per afrontar-ho de manera crítica, objectiva i neutral.
