Abstract

Resum

The idea of creating a machine that could simulate the movement of the heart’s walls and how the blood circulates, conformed by a motor capable of boosting the fluid inside a closed circuit that imitated the blood circulation came from the research on the blood circulatory system and everything that conforms to it.

In this project, the blood circulatory system’s components have been investigated, from the circulating vessels (among them the veins, the arteries and the blood capillaries) to the whole system’s engine, the heart. Once this was understood, the way this organ (the heart) works was researched: how it contracts itself, why it does that, how it works and which movement is performed to boost the blood.

Lastly, from this research, it was possible to create a machine that would simulate the heart and its circulation, as the way it worked was learned, putting all the knowledge earned from the research into the machine so it would work properly based on the theory of the functioning of the heart.

De l'estudi del sistema circulatori sanguini i tots els components que el conformen, va sorgir la idea de crear una maqueta que pogués simular el moviment de les parets musculars del cor i el circuit de la sang, amb un motor que impulsés el líquid per l'interior d'un circuit tancat que imités la circulació sanguínia.

En aquest treball s'han investigat els components del sistema circulatori sanguini, des dels vasos circulants (entre ells les venes, les artèries i els capil·lars) fins al mateix motor de tot el sistema, el cor, gràcies al qual funciona tot el sistema. Una vegada es va comprendre això, es va estudiar el funcionament d'aquest òrgan, el cor: el com es contrau, el perquè, el com funciona i el moviment que realitza per impulsar la sang.

Finalment, gràcies especialment a aquest últim estudi es va poder dur a terme la part pràctica, ja que es coneixia el funcionament del cor, es va poder aplicar a la maqueta la informació apresa correctament i de manera que aquesta seguís la teoria del funcionament del cor.
