The school of Santa Oliva.
We have 272 Students from 3 to 12 years old.
Preschool and elementary education.
The La Parellada School is the only school in Santa Oliva, a population with approximately 3,350 inhabitants, spread over three large distinct areas: Historic Center (900 inhabitants) and where the School is located; Les Pedreres (2100 inhabitants) which is an urbanization with single-family houses and Barri Sant Jordi (350 inhabitants) which is an area attached to Vendrell. With this municipal structure, the school is the only regular meeting point for children and families from the three towns. Approximately 54% of our students come from outside the historic center and 45% of the total number of students take the bus service.
In Santa Oliva there is an Environmental Education Plan that helps coordinate activities between the municipal entities and the school.
This year, our center is no longer on the list of centers of special difficulty, becoming of standard complexity. In the past it was called CAEP, due to the fact that all the children from CRAE Folch and Camarasa who have to attend primary school enroll in our centre. This highly fluctuating and diverse student body in number and characteristics can range up to twenty students, representing 7.4% of the student body. This type of student requires specific attention.
We currently have less than 1% of newly arrived students and less than 7% of foreign students.
Last year, the City Council and the Department of Education signed an agreement to carry out the expansion of the school.
We have a theatre project: our students of 4, 6, 8 and 10 years old make a theatre performance:
