La Fundació Grífols organitzarà, juntament amb l'Americana Film Fest, una sessió de cinema i ètica al voltant de la pel·lícula The lost sons, en VOSE. Dimarts dia 25 d'octubre. Activitat pensada per a l'alumnat de 4t d'ESO i Batxillerat. Es tracta d'un documental que explora el dret a conèixer els orígens biològics a partir del cas del Paul Fronczak. Als 8 anys d'edat, Paul descobreix a les golfes de casa seva uns retalls de diari sobre un nadó robat
a Chicago que van trobar més endavant a Newark, Nova Jersey. La seva família li confirma que ell és aquest nen, donant per tancat el tema. No és fins al cap de molts anys, quan Paul té la seva primera filla, que decideix emprendre una cerca mediàtica per a conèixer la veritat sobre la seva família biològica.
Aquest documental planteja la reflexió ètica d'aspectes tan transcendentals com la recerca de la pròpia identitat i el dret a conèixer els orígens. S'ha de reconèixer aquest dret? En quins supòsits? Quina responsabilitat tenen els implicats en el cas? Quin paper hi poden jugar els tests genètics? Cal posar-los a l'abast de tothom?
