Year 9

Key activities during the academic year:

• Develop their use of career resources to help them understand their preferences and the options open to them in preparation for choosing KS4 pathways.

• Develop their self-awareness by presenting careers related to their expeditionary work during SLCs

• Hear from or talk to expedition experts, stakeholders, representatives from the world  of work. 

• Share their current intentions for next steps in education and careers, referring to their knowledge base during their Passage Presentation.

• Receive support to make the right decisions around KS4 Pathways, including:

  • Through presentations in school from staff leaders about KS4 pathways

  • Input from employers as well as providers of apprenticeships and post-16 education such as local colleges.

  • Input from University and Degree Apprenticeship level providers
