Year 8

Key activities during the academic year:

• Develop their use of career resources, including Xello, to help them understand their preferences and the options open to them

• Develop their self-awareness by presenting careers related to their expeditionary work during SLCs

• Hear from or talk to expedition experts, stakeholders, representatives from the world  of work - for example attending a simulation of an emergency room at our local hospital. 

• Attend a university campus as an integrated part of their expeditionary curriculum and learn about pathways at a university level and campus life.

• Learn about academic, technical and vocational pathways at KS4 and KS5.

  • This is typically done through an interactive performance / presentation through the National Health Service and then reflected upon in Crew.
