This course covers human history beginning with the Paleolithic Era, before the discovery of farming. The units of study in this course highlight the connections of various peoples in the ancient river valley civilizations as they transitioned through the challenges of farming to developing successful civilizations. This journey created the foundation of future civilizations and connects the past with today's world. These connections allow for a deeper examination into today's civic experience and brings us more in touch with our respective communities.
