Determine whether ancient Sumer had each characteristic of civilization. Analyze and draw conclusions from artifacts unearthed by archaeologists at the various stations around the room.
Being the "first" has its perks! You get to do what NO ONE else has done before, setting the example for generations to come. The downside: what you do had better be correct or else people will struggle with your guidance.
The downside to being the first empire in history is that, while you may have set the example of how to create your civilization and govern and rule, others who come after you may improve on those methods and end up better than you were.
