January is Indic Heritage Month, which is an opportunity to celebrate and recognize the many cultures of the Indian subcontinent. Included are the countries of Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Kashmir and Sri Lanka. Geopolitically, Afghanistan is sometimes included because of the cultural similarities it shares with neighboring Pakistan.

Students will color flags of countries included in the Indic Heritage Month celebrations. Once completed, the designs will be displayed in the hallway during January.
3-5
Students will create a "Create your own Mehndi design" worksheet. Once completed, their designs will be displayed in the hallway during January.

Saffron Alliance collaboration on January 8th. Four circuits, including storytelling, yoga, arts and crafts, and a dance.
