This course is designed to teach students the basics of animation. Students learn how to plot, script, storyboard, present, and create animations using the principles of animation and basic techniques including staging, timing, mechanics and kinetics. Drawing skills, life drawing, storytelling, mechanics of motion and animation camera techniques will be VISUAL & PERFORMING ARTS 93 an integral part of the course. The format of classroom instruction will be lecture, demonstration, individual and team-based projects, presentations and hands-on classroom work.

Whether you're a budding artist or simply curious about the fashion industry, this class offers a fun and engaging way to explore your creativity and develop your skills.
(Visual Art 1 is a prerequisite course.)The Graphic Design 1 course serves as an introduction to the world of graphic design. Taught within the art department, this class can be taken as part of the Arts requirement for graduation. Students will be introduced to creating artwork through digital media. Specifically, the course will give students experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
