Fashion Design

Fashion Design Drawing is a semester long course that focuses on the skills necessary to become a fashion designer. This course is very drawing intensive & we will be drawing every day! We will focus on drawing people (women and men), study current and past fashion designers, create finished illustrations, study designs from direct observation, and basically experience the overall process of designing fashion up until the sewing portion. 

Although the fashion designers of today use some computer programs to design fashion, he or she started off with (and still uses) pencil and paper. Colleges and universities are also still using the “old fashioned” way of teaching fashion illustration, as well as teaching computer programs. 

Students are required to have already taken and passed Introduction to Visual Arts.
