Leadership Candidates- READ EVERYTHING ON THIS PAGE!

Sign up for leadership with Mr. Williams by April 5 declaring your desired leadership position(s). He has a sign-up sheet on his door. Positions available are Drum Major (to audition for DM you must be a sophomore or older), Section Leader (including guard and percussion), Librarian, and Uniform Crew. 

All positions (except Librarian or Uniform Crew) will audition and interview. Be prepared to play, march and teach/call commands for all positions (except Librarian or Uniform Crew). Drum majors will do that plus salute and conduct to a recording and live players (everyone auditioning as a leader or drum major will play while they conduct).

All students auditioning for leadership will attend all leadership clinics. Check band calendar for dates. 

Each person auditioning for leadership will turn in: 

1. Teacher recommendation form for each teacher you have this semester (not your band directors). Your teachers will complete this form online at the blue link. 

2. Leadership application (complete online) On the application form, you will find the instructions to create your tryout video at the very top.

3. Leadership contract (submit hard copy to director) (PDF below) Staple this on top of your band resume and turn them in to Ms. Ballaro.

4. Band Resume (submit hard copy to director. Resume information is on the leadership application. Print this out on your own and bring it to us.)

These items are due May 7 by 4:30 p.m. Do not ask to turn in late paperwork.
