Description

This is the most visual and seen of the instrumental music classes. Performs at football games, parades, competitions and community events. No experience necessary. This class starts in May/June. Valuable experience toward the marching band and music scholarships available at the college level. Rehearsals are scheduled outside of class time.

For students interested in learning the basics of guitar performance. Students will learn to read traditional music notation, tablature and basic chords. Students will perform for peers in class. Ready to focus on you? In the fall we prep for Shakespeare competition, put on a show, discuss Acting Theorists and styles, and do Children's Theatre OR a Play in a Day. Then, in the spring we cover Film Acting and put on a One Act play for competition. Learning 2 Breathe meditation sessions also take place throughout the year for moments to focus, calm, and center ourselves in these busy lives, as well as put on directed readings OR Mosaic. (Must have taken Drama 1 and 2, or audition for the class.)
