Students build on what they have learned in Interior Design 1 and deepen their understanding. Students learn how to choose interior finishes such as flooring and paint. They learn how to assess furniture quality. They learn about different housing styles. Students expand their knowledge and skills with designing floor plans. This course involves creative, hands-on projects on a larger scale than in Interior Design 1!

Learn the concepts of entry-level business and fashion fundamentals. Students will study the impact of marketing in the fashion industry. Students learn how fashion changes and evolves, including the history of fashion capitals and designers. They will explore the retail and promotion side of fashion. Students begin developing hard and soft skills needed in the fashion industry.

This course explores how fashion influences everyday life. Students learn about the design process, elements and principles of design, and how to choose fabrics and materials. Students examine the impact that clothing has on everyday life. Students are introduced to the business side of fashion. Students explore the history of fashion, designers, and fashion capitals. This course has a lot of creative, hands-on projects!

Students learn basic sewing and construction skills. They learn how to operate a sewing machine and related equipment. They develop basic sewing skills by making projects. Students learn how to read and follow a pattern. Students will study the basics of fabrics and fiber types. This is a course where students learn hands-on skills that will help them in the fashion or outdoor product design industry. Students will be able to take home their own sewing projects.
