Prompt
Code a game called the Superintendency Challenge in html, css, and JavaScript that is self-contained, complete, and embeddable. Use the provided images to create characters for the game. Make them in soft focus with large expressive eyes, matte textured and 3D clay construction. The object of the game is to survive the day. Create a Start the Day button to begin game play. Rotate through each of the three characters in turns for four rounds apiece with a total of 12 rounds for the game. Each character is a member of the school district superintendency. Place each character behind a desk in a well-lit office with hands folded on the desk. On the character’s turn, show the text on the screen with the following cast of appointment visitors: business manager, teacher, DT&L Specialist, parent, board member, school board president, SPED director, finance manager, HR director, secondary director, elementary principal, junior high principal, high school principal, librarian, district foundation director, custodian, elementary education director, student services director, assessment director, legal counsel, administrative assistant, school counselor, mental health therapist, school nurse, lunchroom unit manager, bus driver, maintenance director, building custodian, communications specialist, PCBL director, CTE director, district safety and compliance director, etc. Select from this list randomly for endless, non-repetitive game play. List the title of the person from the cast in random sequence with their complaint. Each script for the cast should include the phrase “[Job title] complains that” . . . complete the complaint with a realistic issue that cast member may have in their work. For example, “Legal counsel complains that teachers are not complying with the policy to avoid sharing Personally Identifiable Information about students.” Generate 100 complaints and assign them to the cast in random order, but ensure that no complaint arises more than once during the 12 rounds of one complete game. Create a Show Options button and change the screen to provide 4 multiple choice options. In each set of 4 options, include these two: “Call security to have the person removed,” and “Listen calmly to the complaint, nod knowingly, reassure the person that their complaint has been heard and that you are working on it, give them a lollipop and pat them gently on the head as you escort them to the door.” This phrase will always be the correct answer to the 4 choice quiz. Create two other realistic options. Play calm music throughout the game, but have the music only begin when the Start the Day button is clicked or tapped. Have the music end when the 12th daily appointment session ends. Use a calm navy blue, white, black, and gray theme.
Iteration
Change the game so Character 1, the woman, is named, Gina, Character 2, the man with the blue tie, is named Clyde, and Character 3, the man in the gray shirt, is named David. Resize the play area so the Show Options button appears in the play area.
Iteration 2
Can you use the images provided to show the face of the characters in the place of the circular image area? Also, adjust the size of the play area so all 4 options in the multiple choice section fit on the screen without scrolling.
Iteration 3
Ensure that the complaints are used only once per round and that no two cast members have the same complaint during any single round of play. The Start Tomorrow button does not launch a new, randomized game. Remove the images and use a fancy, but still legible font to show the superintendency member’s name for each round of play.
Iteration 4
Can you add the images named gina.png, clyde. png, and david.png to the respective game play items and reduce the font size of the fancy script text of each of their names? Keep the image large enough to recognize, but not so large that it causes the text below to be unreadable. Use this link from imgur for the images: [Get imgur link for each image by right clicking and selecting Copy Image Address, locating the image source in the code and pasting the URL.]
