Prompt
Can you create a game for EdTech coaches that uses a standard deck of playing cards and combines their knowledge of technology with a card game? The EdTech Coaches’ specialized knowledge includes PowerSchool and PowerTeacher Pro, Google Workspace for Education (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Chat, Calendar, etc.), WeVideo, Adobe Express, Canva, Canvas LMS, Gemini, and NotebookLM. Code the game in html, css, and JavaScript and make it self-contained, embeddable, and complete. Include sounds where necessary and a celebration of confetti and fireworks for the winner. Include an explanation of how to play.
Iteration
The flipped card disappears when drawn. Make it stay on the screen for 2 seconds until the question appears.
Iteration 2
Make the higher value cards have more difficult questions.
Iteration 3
Show the face of the card for two seconds after it’s drawn. It still disappears too quickly. Allow turn taking for two teams and show a scoreboard to keep score. Allow 20 seconds per play, show a timer.
Iteration 4
The drawn card disappears after it’s drawn. Show the flip animation and keep the card flipped for only 1 second until the question appears.
Iteration 5
The card animation is still working incorrectly. Add a draw card button. When pressed, flip the card, show the face and pause to show it for one second, then reveal the question. Play a short confetti animation if the player answers correctly.
Iteration 6
The Play Again button does not launch a new game. The current game is too repetitive with many of the same questions asked more than once during a single game. Expand the number of questions extensively and don’t repeat any during game play.
Iteration 7
Randomize the answers for each question. Also ensure that all answers are the same color for fill and border so users don’t get hints about correct answers or see what the last correct answer was. Use a navy blue, white, black, and gray theme.
Iteration 8
The last answer in the group of 4 often has a darker border and a slightly darker fill color. Ensure that all answers have a black (0,0,0,0,0,0) border and a white (f,f,f,f,f,f) fill.
