Prompt
Code a game in html, css, and JavaScript that is self-contained, complete, and embeddable and plays like Wheel of Fortune. Players spin a spinner to determine their points. Range the points from 0 to 20. Include a Go Broke section in which the player loses all points earned up to that point in the game. Make the spinner colorful and eye catching. Allow for up to 4 players, but make the game moderator select the number of players in the game. Use words and phrases from the 6th grade standards in the document provided. Show a game board with the letters of the word or phrase in white. Player spins the wheel to determine the point value of their letter guess. The player then selects one letter of the alphabet. If that letter appears in the word or phrase show it on the game board and award the number of points shown on the spinner. If the letter appears more than once, multiple the number of appearances by the point value on the wheel. Thus, if the points are 5 on the spinner and the letter e appears 3 times in the word or phrase, 15 points would be awarded. If the letter guessed does not appear, the next player gets the turn. A player wins when they say the word or phrase shown on the game board. The game moderator will mark Correct on the button you code. The game proceeds for 6 rounds of words or phrases. Keep a cumulative scoreboard to track which player has the highest number of points. Add a New Game button to reset the game. Randomize the words and phrases for endless, non-repetitive game play. Provide a celebration with a ta dah sound and confetti at the end of the game. Provide a letter bank with each letter of the alphabet shown to denote which letters have been selected during game play. Make letters selected gray and non-selectable following their use. While the spinner will be colorful, use a navy blue, white, black and gray theme for the play area.
Iteration
The 20 point spinner makes the player lose all points instead of awarding 20 points. The words Go Broke don’t fit in the spinners sector. Fix both the 20 points and Go Broke spinner sectors.
Iteration 2
The New Game button does not start a brand new game. Fix it so it starts a new series.
Iteration 3
Increase the number of segments on the spinner to 20, add more point values to fill each segment, but keep the text of the point values and the Go Broke segment within the section by adjusting the font size. Add a spinner sound when the spinner is spinning.
