About Mrs. Marks

Hello! My name is Mrs. Laura Marks, and this will be my 12th year teaching in Worthington, 3 of which at Worthingway, and 9 years at McCord Middle School. I love sharing my passion for math with my students and building relationships both in and outside the classroom.

My husband's name is Kurt Marks, and our son's name is Luke(4 years old). We will be adding a new member to our family this fall...baby boy (name is a secret for now). We also have a cavapoo dog named Rio who thinks he should be lounging around all day long.

During the summer, I enjoy family time at the pool, zoo, beach and just hanging out at home. I love to get my daily workouts in doing Crossfit and enjoy playing vollleyball with my niece who is in 7th grade this year. I have a slight obession with erasable pens and love using them on my planner along with lots of stickers. In the fall, I love to watch OSU football and eat anything involving pumpkin :).

One of my most memorable teaching moments occurred this summer when I had the honor of presenting a former 7th grade math student of mine his diploma. There truly is no greater honor than teaching and celebrating student successes along the way.

I can't wait to work with all of you this year. We will have lots of fun!
