Here is some vital information for students who students who have been offered enrollment:
TO ACCEPT YOUR OFFER TO ENROLL:
From our homepage, click on the link to accept.
Communicate, and review your decision with your school counselor (if applicable)
TWO YEAR PROGRAMS: Acceptance to YEAR ONE is not a guarantee for YEAR TWO. Students must meet expectations and put in the effort. We anticipate there being less seats than potential student requests for YEAR TWO classes in the future.
WICC SCHEDULE: Below is a snapshot image of our schedule, times and requested periods by sending schools. There is flexibility with scheduling that is considered on a case-by--case basis. Unique singleton programs like ORR and BEE-A are only offered for one specific block which creates a challenge that may require self-transportation. In addition, classes have "enrollment caps" to ensure reasonable class size given the lab nature of CTE programs.
6/19/25: Block 2 for Animal Care and Management, Cosmetology, and Design, Create, and Fabricate are CURRENTLY FULL. You may have been accepted and offered enrollment in BLOCKS 1 or 3 (which for some schools may be a transportation challenge. WRHS students can attend any of the periods and are generally placed in Block 1 or 3.
TRANSPORTATION: Buses will be running from all sending schools to the WiCC and Huot Center (Laconia) for their selected blocks. Limited parking will be available for students who have gained permission from both their home high school and the WiCC. Self-Transport is prioritized if a bus is NOT offered at the time of the class despite our best efforts to do so.
HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR ATTENDANCE: The WiCC expects ALL students to attend their program every possible day. The nature of CTE learning requires this commitment as it does not lend itself to online or non-lab learning. This is an essential commitment that students should review with their parents and guardians.
NON-CTE CLASSES AT WINNISQUAM REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL: There is an agreement to provide students, who demonstrate the need, the opportunity to attend an academic class at the Winnisquam Regional High School if there is space in the class. For example if attending the WiCC is disruptive to a student's schedule, they may be able to take an English, math, social studies or science class at Winnisquam Regional High School for full credit at no cost.
SUGGESTED PERSONAL ITEMS (NO NEED TO PURCHASE UNTIL SEPT): Each program will have suggested purchases from uniforms (scrubs for cosmetology) to personal tools. Financial assistance and loaners will be available as needed to ensure all students have access. Teachers will communicate more details starting in August.
CTE PRINCIPAL: Andrea Wujcik will be the WiCC's first principal starting 7/1/25. She can be reached at awujcik@wrsdsau59.org. Jennifer Moody is the administrative assistant starting 7/1/25 also.
