The WiCC-ED Advantage
From Classroom to Career, Your Future Starts Here
The Winnisquam Career Center has gone through some extensive building renovations to expand and modernize classroom, lab and shop spaces. The WiCC's new expanded lineup of career and technical education programs integrates rigorous academic instruction into the teaching of technical and employability skills, helping students to recognize their talents, realize their potential and prepare themselves for life after high school, whether they plan to go on to postsecondary education or training, enlist in the military or go directly into the workforce after graduation.
The WiCC Helps Students to Jumpstart College and Career Ambitions
The career-focused education offered at The WiCC allows students to jumpstart their postsecondary plans by taking a more strategic approach to their high school education. The WiCC's five new career and technical education programs are designed to connect students to:
Technical, professional and employability skills
Career exploration opportunities
Industry and postsecondary credentials
Today's next-generation CTE career pathway education is a huge advantage to high school students who face some big life decisions come senior year. National studies show:
80% of CTE students say CTE classes helped them to "know where they're headed"
More than 78% enroll in postsecondary education after graduation
What Our Students are Saying
"At The WiCC I am able to get hands-on animal and plant science experience as well as walk away with industry-recognized certifications that can help me later in life. If you like learning outside a traditional classroom and using your hands, then a WiCC program might be for you!"
Emma Davidson, Senior, Winnisquam Regional High School
