Wachusett Regional School District is pleased to connect families with MyFriendBen, a free and confidential online tool designed to help families identify public benefits, tax credits, and community resources they may be eligible to receive.
MyFriendBen asks a series of simple questions about your household and circumstances and then provides a personalized estimate of programs that may be available to you, including assistance with food, housing, utilities, health care, child care, transportation, and other family needs. The process typically takes only a few minutes.
Your information is confidential. Using MyFriendBen does not require you to share your results with the school district, and WRSD does not receive information about the answers you provide or the benefits for which you may qualify.
Families are encouraged to use MyFriendBen whenever additional support may be helpful. There is no cost to use the tool, and checking your eligibility does not obligate you to apply for any programs.
Flyers with additional information and instructions are available below in multiple languages.
The Wachusett Regional School District is committed to ensuring that financial circumstances do not prevent a student from participating in school-sponsored programs, activities, athletics, trips, or events.
Families who need assistance with a school-related fee may request a full or partial waiver, reduced fee, payment plan, or other support by completing the district’s confidential Financial Assistance Request Form.
All requests are reviewed confidentially. Students will not be identified to peers or unnecessarily identified to staff as receiving financial assistance.
Requests may include, but are not limited to, athletic fees, field trips, dances, class activities, testing fees, credit recovery, clubs, enrichment programs, graduation-related activities, parking fees, and other school-sponsored opportunities.
Assistance may include full or partial fee waivers, payment plans, or other supports depending on the activity.
Families are encouraged to submit requests as early as possible before payment deadlines.
Families who need help completing the form or who prefer to speak with someone may contact:
