Blake Machan
You may remember Blake's visit to Drayton Valley April of 2019, where he shared his story.
Born and raised in Rocky Mountain House, Blake's youth was filled with sport. His passions would lead him to play football at the University of Calgary before being drafted in 2003 by the Calgary Stampeder's. Despite his success on the field, Blake was struggling with anxiety and depression. His mental illness would bring him to his knees in his early 30's and shape his perspective on why the conversation on mental health is so important for each of us.
He is currently doing weekly posts on LinkedIn called Drive Zone Thursday. With his permission we will be sharing some of his posts.
